Job Summary:Bank Relationship Manager

Bank Relationship Manager is responsible for building and managing consumer, Corporate & Industrial (C&I), and Commercial Real Estate (CRE) loan and deposit portfolios. The role focuses on balancing loan growth with credit quality while managing risk in accordance with established bank policies. The RM identifies client strengths, weaknesses, and risks to develop and maintain strong relationships while delivering tailored financial solutions aligned with customer needs.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred
• Minimum 5 years of banking, lending, or business development experience preferred
• In-market experience preferred
• NMLS certification required within the first year of employment

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage an active portfolio of consumer, C&I, and CRE relationships (typically under $3–5MM), achieving targets for deposits, loans, revenue, profitability, and new client acquisition.
• Perform credit analysis and loan documentation; structure and approve loans within authority or in coordination with Credit Officers.
• Monitor asset quality including past due loans, collateral exceptions, covenant compliance, risk ratings, and borrowing base performance.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities through prospecting and referral networks across banking products and services.
• Provide advisory support to Financial Center Managers and Market Leaders regarding C&I relationships.
• Maintain strong knowledge of deposit products, lending solutions, Treasury Management, capital markets, and economic trends.
• Stay updated on regulatory requirements, compliance standards, lending policies, and industry developments.
• Analyze financial statements and evaluate overall business performance of clients.
• Manage the full loan lifecycle including documentation, approvals, closings, and issue resolution.
• Represent the bank in community engagement, networking events, and business development initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with bank policies, regulatory requirements, risk management practices, and internal controls.
• Maintain consistent attendance and perform additional duties as assigned.
