The Personal Banking Officer position entails delivering services to customers at the Banking Center and supporting the team in accomplishing sales, service, and operational targets aligned with Webster's Strategic Guidelines. Duties involve executing all customer-related financial transactions following the Bank's rules, regulations, and guidelines. Moreover, this role employs exceptional communication and attentive listening skills to comprehend customers' financial needs, establish trust, maximize sales opportunities, generate leads, provide high-quality customer service, and establish and sustain a solid partnership with various business segments through collaboration and communication. Proficiency in supervising and coaching fellow relationship Bankers is also essential

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently responding to customers' needs in a timely and accurate manner is dependent on maximizing available resources and tools
• Identifying the needs of clients and providing relevant financial products and services by engaging in needs-driven discussions to establish and strengthen partnerships.
• Carry out day-to-day teller operations like depositing money, withdrawing funds, cashing checks, repaying loans, and fulfilling other transactional requirements.
• Support the division of the market strategy by introducing sales, retention, and various banking projects to effectively meet the growth and profitability targets of the Banking Center.
• The expectation is to achieve or surpass both personal and team goals in sales, service, and operations
• Remains in alignment with Federal and State regulations in addition to internal bank protocols and processes. Achieving or outperforming branch audit standards and evaluations of operational effectiveness
• Provide assistance in supervising banking center colleagues through coaching support for fellow bankers. Take on a mentoring role and assist in the onboarding of new team members.

Qualifications, Employment History, and Competency Overview:

• While a high school diploma or GED is required, candidates with an Associate's or Bachelor's degree are preferred.
• 4 years of experience in customer sales and service desired, with an ideal of 1-2 years in a supervisory capacity. Demonstrated proficiency in taking the lead, providing guidance, and encouraging others.
• Full awareness of the spectrum of products and services offered
• Maintains familiarity with all the platforms utilized for branch transaction processing.
• Projects excellent customer service skills and a knack for supporting teamwork, ultimately nurturing a positive work environment.
• Flexibility in working hours, including weekends and extended shifts, along with the potential for travel to different Banking Centers, may be expected.
