Job Description:

The Banking Relationship Specialist role will provide services for Banking Center customers and assist the team in achievement of sales, service, and operation goals, based on Webster's Strategic Guidelines. The role will process all customer related financial transactions in accordance with the rules, regulations, and guidelines of the Bank. Additionally, this role uses excellent communication and active listening skills to learn about the customer's financial needs, establish trust, optimize sales opportunities, generate leads, and provide quality customer service as well as develop and maintain a strong partnership with various business segments through collaboration and communication. Ability to supervise and coach fellow relationship Bankers

Responsibilities:

• Meeting customers' needs promptly and accurately involves utilizing available tools and resources effectively
• Distinguishing the needs of clients and offering suitable financial products and services through customized discussions to foster and deepen relationships.
• Carry out day-to-day teller operations like depositing money, withdrawing funds, cashing checks, repaying loans, and fulfilling other transactional requirements.
• Strengthen the segmentation strategy by executing sales, retention, and various banking initiatives to reach the growth and profitability goals of the Banking Center.
• The anticipation is to meet or outperform both personal and team targets in sales, service, and operational tasks
• Adheres to Federal and State regulations as well as bank policies and procedures. Meeting or exceeding branch audit expectations and operational evaluation criteria
• Provide assistance in supervising banking center colleagues through coaching support for fellow bankers. Take on a mentoring role and assist in the onboarding of new team members.

Academic Background, Professional Journey, and Competencies:

• While a high school diploma or GED is required, candidates with an Associate's or Bachelor's degree are preferred.
• Preference for candidates who possess 2-4 years of customer sales and service experience, with 1-2 years in a supervisory capacity. Demonstrated effectiveness in guiding, coaching, and inspiring others.
• Proficient grasp of the full range of products and services
• Ensures awareness of all systems involved in branch transaction processing.
• Projects excellent customer service skills and a knack for supporting teamwork, ultimately nurturing a positive work environment.
• Ability to adjust to a flexible and/or rotating schedule, with the expectation of working weekends, extended hours, and the possibility of traveling to alternate Banking Centers.
