Job Description:Floating Banker

The Floating Banker role will provide services for Banking Center customers and assist the team in achievement of sales, service, and operation goals, based on Webster's Strategic Guidelines. The role will process all customer related financial transactions in accordance with the rules, regulations, and guidelines of the Bank. Additionally, this role uses excellent communication and active listening skills to learn about the customer's financial needs, establish trust, optimize sales opportunities, generate leads, and provide quality customer service as well as develop and maintain a strong partnership with various business segments through collaboration and communication. Ability to supervise and coach fellow relationship Bankers

Responsibilities:

• Timely and accurate responses to customers are facilitated by leveraging the existing resources and tools
• Assessing the requirements of customers and presenting suitable financial services and products by engaging in conversations focused on their needs, with the aim of fostering and enhancing connections.
• Conduct everyday teller operations such as depositing funds, withdrawing cash, cashing checks, repaying loans, and other relevant transactions.
• Assist in implementing the segmentation strategy through sales, retention, and other bank initiatives to successfully pursue the growth and profitability objectives of the Banking Center.
• Striving to excel in sales, service, and operational performance at both individual and team levels are the expectations
• Following Federal and State regulations as well as bank policies and procedures. Meeting or surpassing expectations for branch audits and assessments of operational effectiveness
• Assist in supervising banking center colleagues by providing coaching and support to fellow bankers. Serve as a mentor and assist in the onboarding process for new employees.

Qualifications, Past Roles, and Proficiencies:

• Required to possess a high school diploma or GED, with a preference for candidates with an Associate's or Bachelor's degree.
• Looking for individuals with 2-4 years of customer sales and service experience, preferably with 1-2 years in a supervisory role. Successful history in leading, coaching, and motivating teams.
• Broad comprehension of the entirety of products and services
• Stays updated with all systems employed for branch transaction processing.
• Portrays exceptional customer service skills and a proficiency in supporting teamwork, which results in a positive work setting.
• Required to have the capability to work a flexible and/or rotating schedule that includes weekends, extended hours, and potential travel to other Banking Centers.
