Banking Specialist

The duties of a Banking Specialist comprise ensuring exceptional client satisfaction by upholding our Breakthrough Client Experience Standards. They are tasked with expanding and nurturing client connections through active inquiry into their needs, proposing relevant products and services, and guiding them to the appropriate internal resources when necessary. Additionally, they are accountable for identifying and initiating consumer loan possibilities.

Responsibilities include:

• Enhance customer satisfaction by promptly greeting clients, recognizing their requirements, proposing relevant solutions, and responding promptly to any questions they may have.
• Encourage customer participation in financial assessments and business evaluations to offer tailored solutions and identify any further financial necessities.
• Provide advice and uphold promises made to clients.
• Sustain regular interaction with clients, both inside and outside the organization, to deliver forward-thinking resolutions and address issues according to the bank's Breakthrough Client Service Standards.
• Facilitate the opening of accounts for individuals and businesses, whether they are new to the institution or existing clients.
• Aid Client Service Specialists in fostering a team atmosphere and taking on teller responsibilities, such as conducting cash transactions, as necessary.
• Aid in meeting the branch goal of pinpointing and recommending a diverse array of bank products and services to the correct internal business collaborators.
• Stay informed about products and methodologies.
• Solve customer concerns and demands with a high level of commitment and consistency.
• Establish familiarity with corporate, client, and credibility entities.
• Tasks beyond the specified scope may be assigned accordingly.

Qualifications include:

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• One year of experience in a client service specialist (teller) or related banking role is preferred.
• Familiarity with the core principles of consumer banking and available products and services.
• Readiness and desire to enhance skills in consumer lending.
• Ability to follow established Standard Operating Procedures.
• Proficiency in cash handling, account balancing, and accurate arithmetic.
• Ability to meet multiple client needs efficiently.
• Experience building client relationships through new and existing connections.
• Knowledge of applicable state laws and regulations related to banking products and services.
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to obtain Nationwide Multistate Licensing and Registry (NMLS) preferred.
