Job Description for Commercial Banking Portfolio Manager:

The Commercial Banking Portfolio Manager aids in risk assessment and management of the Bank's loan portfolio through analytical scrutiny and credit supervision, handling duties like yearly reviews, renewals, monitoring loan covenant adherence, and managing financial collections for designated loan portfolios. Partners with Relationship Managers to nurture and advance a high-caliber and financially rewarding loan portfolio.

Responsibilities for Commercial Banking Portfolio Manager:

• Evaluate important details to ascertain the risk level and to determine if a prospect or existing credit is an acceptable risk.
• Monitor fluctuations in credit risks among customers and in the portfolio, and communicate any alterations in risk patterns to management.
• Collaborate with Relationship Managers when meeting with clients to ascertain their individual needs and preferences accurately.
• Obtain relevant financial information to support accurate risk assessment and detailed underwriting investigation.
• Assisting clients with questions and confirming the accuracy of information for loan underwriting procedures.
• Study the global financial flow concerning commercial and personal clients, borrowers, and individuals acting as guarantors.
• Generate financial reports such as spreadsheets, credit presentations, narratives, relationship summaries, and loan pricing models.
• Support in establishing the pricing and framework for loan origination and extensions.
• Arrange the necessary steps for completing loan closing and booking tasks.
• Keep track of current industry developments and examine sector-specific information to pinpoint potential hazards.
• Dispatch renewal notifications at regular 4-month intervals and carry out assessments to verify compliance with loan terms and conduct yearly reviews.
• Stay in line with mandatory regulatory requirements and training sessions.
• Undertake all supplementary duties as provided.

Qualifications for Commercial Banking Portfolio Manager:

• Necessity for a bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or similar professional expertise.
• Applicants should have at least two years of experience, with a preference for those with two to four years of experience.
• Expertise in employing analytical thinking for effective credit assessment and underwriting.
• Committed to objectives and proficient in overcoming challenges.
• Skilled in fostering positive relationships and effectively engaging with others.
• Having a solid grasp of grammar, typing, and spelling competence.
• Skilled in effectively organizing tasks and managing time efficiently.
• Demonstrating proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
