Job Description:Client Support Banker

Provide quality, accurate, and timely customer service through daily processing of financial transactions and account openings in a retail banking environment. The Client Support Banker introduces bank products and services through outreach to prospects and delivers tailored recommendations to existing clients to deepen relationships. This role supports banking center goals by meeting or exceeding sales and referral targets, conducting outbound sales activities, and assisting banking center management as needed.

Qualifications:

• As a basic requirement, individuals must hold either a high school diploma or a GED.
• It is recommended to have one year of experience as a Teller.
• Meeting the credit check criteria is a crucial part of the background verification that needs to be successfully accomplished.

Sales and Service:

• Provide necessary support to tellers and customers to enhance service quality and reduce client wait times.
• Process teller transactions such as depositing money, withdrawing funds, managing currencies and coins, and cashing checks.
• Establish and provide maintenance for deposit accounts, such as checking, savings, IRAs, CDs, and money market accounts.
• Recommend suitable banking products and services by understanding client needs through consultative discussions.
• Enhance client interactions by cross-promoting various services and facilitating introductions to partner banks, thus creating opportunities for business expansion and improved customer relationships.
• Perform consistent outbound calls to reach out to clients and prospects, and be involved in special campaigns promoting deposit and loan services.
• Provide assistance to clients with personal and retail consumer loan applications and pass on the completed paperwork to the appropriate colleague.

Client Experience:

• Resolve client concerns by investigating issues and responding to questions about their account statuses.
• Offer clients a dependable, professional, and optimistic service experience.
• Address and resolve client inquiries and issues promptly and effectively.
• Broaden your knowledge of offerings by engaging in sales conferences, educational workshops, and virtual learning opportunities.

Engaging in compliance and risk management practices involves abiding by guidelines and mitigating potential risks:

• Abide by all applicable bank regulations, policies, operational procedures, and internal risk management controls.
• Follow the specified risk management norms while upholding the ethical standards outlined in the First Horizon Code of Ethics.
• Uphold adherence to the mandates outlined in the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and its associated regulations.

Operational Efficiency:

• Assist employees at bank branches with operational responsibilities, focusing on maintaining audit integrity.
• Offer on-the-job training to support the development of new associates in managing banking centers.
• Stay knowledgeable about operational updates and procedural modifications to ensure ongoing conformity.
• Carry out any additional tasks as delegated.

Mastery of computer and office tools is a key requirement for success in contemporary work settings:

• Proficiency in navigating and utilizing Microsoft Office Suite tools.
• Adept at using office and banking equipment like a 10-key calculator and coin-counting machines.

The DeGarmo Behavioral Assessment Requirement necessitates a systematic approach to evaluating behaviors and identifying behavioral characteristics:

• All candidates are obliged to take the DeGarmo Retail Behavioral Assessment as part of the evaluation process.
• It generally takes between 12 and 15 minutes to complete the assessment.
