Cash Handler

Role Overview:

This role is responsible for delivering excellent customer service, processing financial transactions accurately, handling existing and prospective customers, and supporting branch sales objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver outstanding customer service by prioritizing customer needs and exceeding expectations
Perform basic customer service functions and cash transactions
Reconcile cash daily to ensure financial accuracy and balance
Identify referral opportunities to support branch performance goals
Comply with all applicable banking laws and regulations, including Atlantic Union Bankshares’ BSA/AML Policy and Procedures
Identify risks and escalate concerns through appropriate channels
Maintain knowledge of bank products, services, and other business lines
Adapt to changing digital banking platforms and channels
Perform additional duties as assigned

Reporting Structure:

This position reports to the branch manager.

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required
Cash handling experience preferred
Customer service experience required

Skills and Competencies:

Strong customer service abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Good business judgment and decision making ability
Basic computer proficiency
Ability to manage multiple tasks with strong attention to detail
Adaptability and resilience in changing environments
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 pounds
Flexible scheduling based on business needs

Compensation and Workplace:
