As a Commercial Client Manager, the primary responsibility is to cultivate and maintain strong partnerships with commercial entities, aiming to facilitate growth opportunities and maintain a positive rapport with clients in the corporate sector

In the position of Commercial Client Manager, the individual is tasked with being a trusted advisor for clients, delivering a wide array of banking solutions to assist them in reaching their financial targets. Alongside this, establishing a group of referral sources and influential figures is prioritized through regular communication to identify fresh business possibilities. Furthermore, managing a portfolio of relationships is essential, guaranteeing a top-notch client experience while effectively handling risk, credit quality, and servicing matters following Northwest standards under the guidance of a portfolio management team.

Qualification:

  • You must hold a Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Marketing
  • Over half a decade of expertise in handling account relationships
  • Showing a consistent history of strong sales results accumulated across a 5-6 year timeframe
  • Banking experience
  • Profound knowledge and insight into C & I lending, loan management, and a range of credit and non-credit merchandise.
  • Effective negotiation abilities play a vital role in determining the structure and cost of a loan.
  • To effectively manage risks, one must possess the appropriate information and comprehension to assess and address vulnerabilities and uncertainties.
  • Strong proficiency in verbal, written, and interpersonal interaction.
  • Capacity to juggle various tasks efficiently and prioritize them effectively.

Essential Functions:

  • Strengthen and broaden established connections within the commercial banking sector to foster mutual advancement
  • Proactively seeking out and skillfully cultivating new partnerships within Northwest territory
  • Regularly communicate with product partners to identify chances for cross-selling and referrals, enhancing client relationships by broadening offerings
  • Excel in attaining and surpassing budget objectives set for both individuals and regions
  • Take part in events related to community and professional networking
  • Establish strategic partnerships with key influencers
  • Create and manage a continual list of potential opportunities, along with a specific plan for reaching out and arranging meetings with prospects, established clients, and influential contacts
  • Motivate existing clients to consistently refer others to a wide range of offerings and encourage both clients and their workforce to continue conducting their personal banking activities at Northwest
  • Administer a mix of loans for commercial purposes, catering to customers with varying credit backgrounds
  • Provide loan presentations and advice to credit officers, team leaders, and senior management as needed
  • Work alongside credit and portfolio management to ensure that yearly evaluations and renewals for lines of credit are carried out in a timely manner
  • Ensure that clients without credit history receive the necessary treasury management and other relevant commercial services, and that their risk ratings are suitable
  • Chase outstanding balances from clients who have not paid on time
  • Regularly review financial reports and relevant credit information to remain informed about client progress and analyze potential risks in coordination with Portfolio Management
  • Conclude loan transactions collaboratively with Portfolio Management team
  • Verify that all credit files include the latest financial statements, agency reports, and other necessary documents. Collaborate with Portfolio Management to ensure alignment with Northwest's policies and procedures, as well as compliance with Federal and State regulations
  • Take part in continuous learning opportunities related to sales strategies, product information, and credit policies
  • Follow Northwest's policies and procedures along with federal and state mandates to ensure conformity
  • Develop expertise in navigating Microsoft Office tools, computer applications, and specialized software used within the department to maximize technological capabilities and streamline processes. Acquire knowledge in Microsoft Office programs, computer applications, and department-specific software to enhance technological utilization and operational efficiencies. Familiarize yourself with Microsoft Office Software, computer applications, and software particular to the department to enhance technology utilization and improve productivity
  • Being a team player involves working collectively with others towards a shared objective
  • Operating the on-site machinery is essential
