Role Overview:

The Cash Handling Associate is responsible for delivering outstanding customer service while accurately processing a variety of financial transactions. This role is vital in building strong customer relationships and supporting the smooth operation of branch activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process financial transactions including check cashing, withdrawals, deposits, and loan repayments with high accuracy
• Use a teller drawer to assist customers and staff at the branch lobby or drive-up facility
• Identify cross-selling opportunities and refer clients to the appropriate bank personnel
• Develop the ability to detect potential fraud and report concerns to management
• Follow departmental, bank, and regulatory policies and procedures
• Maintain and promote the Wintrust organizational culture
• Support the execution of opening and closing procedures for smooth branch operations
• Participate in community events as required

Required Qualifications:

• At least six months of experience in cash handling or customer service
• High school diploma or GED required
• Ability to travel between branch locations as needed
• Flexible availability, including weekends
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Capability to stand for extended periods
