The Commercial Banking Officer is responsible for delivering exceptional client experience by adhering to our Breakthrough Client Experience Standards. They will acquire new and expand existing relationships with clients by asking questions to identify needs, offering appropriate products and services, and referring the client to the appropriate business partners within the Bank when needed. Also responsible for uncovering and originating consumer lending opportunities.

Responsibilities include:

• Ensure outstanding customer service by promptly acknowledging customers, determining their requirements, suggesting relevant products and services, and addressing their inquiries promptly.
• Facilitate client involvement in financial discussions and business reviews to propose recommendations and identify any additional financial requirements.
• Offer recommendations and adhere to commitments made to clients.
• Maintain active engagement with both internal and external clients, offering proactive solutions and problem resolutions in accordance with the bank's Breakthrough Client Service Standards.
• Arrange the initiation of consumer and business accounts, extending services to both existing and new clients.
• Assist Client Service Specialists in creating a cohesive team environment and filling in for teller duties, including cash transactions, when required.
• Contribute to the branch aim of pinpointing and referring a diverse array of bank products and services to the appropriate internal business partners.
• Keep informed about product advancements and methods.
• Deal with customer problems and requests effectively, displaying a proactive approach.
• Cultivate familiarity with commerce, customer, and trust associations.
• Supplementary responsibilities may be given as per requirements.

Qualifications include:

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• One year of experience in a client service specialist (teller) or similar banking role is preferred.
• Awareness of fundamental consumer banking principles and available products and services.
• Commitment to developing consumer lending capabilities.
• Ability to follow prescribed operational protocols.
• Accuracy in cash handling, account reconciliation, and arithmetic calculations.
• Ability to complete multiple and varied client tasks efficiently.
• Strong relationship-building skills.
• Knowledge of applicable state laws and regulations.
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to obtain Nationwide Multistate Licensing and Registry (NMLS) preferred.
