Job Summary:

A Banking Services Associate delivers tailored financial solutions to clients by assisting with daily banking activities, managing accounts, and providing guidance on suitable products and services.

Business Development & Client Engagement:

• Establish a steady rhythm for SBA business growth, including:
• Planning and executing telephone strategies, including follow-up actions
• Conducting client retention calls
• Prospecting and onboarding new clients
• Utilizing phone outreach to engage with prospects and external contacts
• Participating in networking events
• Maintaining and expanding a sophisticated COI (Center of Influence) network of community and business leaders to drive referrals
• Managing sales processes, performing credit evaluations, structuring loans, preparing and submitting SBA loan packets, conducting client meetings, and assessing personal characteristics
• Developing and nurturing new business relationships to foster growth and opportunity

Credit Expertise & Risk Management:

• Demonstrates expertise in business credit facilities, including:
• Creating tailored terms and offerings aligned with business needs, asset life cycles, and growth strategies
• Analyzing financial statements and tax returns to evaluate creditworthiness and potential risk
• Assessing short- and long-term credit needs based on business sales patterns and expansion plans
• Educating potential clients on bank underwriting policies, SBA programs, and relevant regulatory standards
• Collaborating with attorneys, loan closers, and internal teams to ensure timely loan closing and funding
• Balancing business objectives with customer requirements while managing risk exposure
• Ensuring compliance with Seacoast Bank’s Code of Conduct
• Mentoring junior SBA lenders in their professional development
• Following bank policies and regulatory standards, including BSA, AML, and OFAC
• Processing loan applications and collecting necessary applicant information while upholding fair lending and ethical sales practices
• Addressing customer inquiries promptly and professionally, escalating issues when required

Education & Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• College degree in a finance-related field is preferred
