Role Overview:

The Wealth Consultant role is a three-year program that includes a draw, aimed at financial advisors or planners who will be offering financial planning guidance and selling investment management solutions.

A Wealth Consultant will need to leverage their experience to service the unique and complex needs of clients in the Mass Affluent (MA) segment by identifying needs, reviewing financial goals and making investment recommendations aligned to their client's goals. The role will serve as the central point of contact, responsible for providing client service & developing the relationship to achieve greater share of wallet by helping clients achieve their goals related to asset accumulation, preservation, growth, and protection.

Depth & Scope:

  • Proficiency in investment sales and financial planning expertise
  • Demonstrates a commitment to prioritizing customers by consistently providing legendary service to enhance customer loyalty and drive business growth
  • Ensures that all new clients receive a thorough on-boarding process, which includes conducting a detailed client discovery, completing a financial needs analysis to provide advice based on goals, introducing the centralized client servicing team according to client need, and finalizing all necessary client paperwork
  • Ability to form partnerships that facilitate the generation of leads
  • Adept at goal management, task prioritization, and thriving in a high-speed, demanding work atmosphere
  • Confirms that every client, be they new or loyal, benefits from an exceptional MA Planning Experience
  • Devise a structured approach to ensuring that every client partakes in an Annual Client Review (ACR) session with an enriched agenda that caters to the client's comprehensive financial needs, alongside fostering proactive interactions consistently
  • Assumes the primary contact role for TD Wealth client relationships in the MA segment, overseeing all aspects of the client's interactions with TD Bank and guiding them to Retail and Wealth partners and affiliates as needed
  • Executes a differentiated service model for clientele in Massachusetts
  • Accomplishes quarterly and annual sales tasks
  • Enhances wallet share through the anticipation of client needs and the proposal of the most appropriate wealth solutions. Emphasizes profitability while ensuring clients receive top-notch service experiences
  • Recognize chances within your portfolio and network to steer business opportunities towards Retail and Small Business/Commercial Partners
  • Executes tasks in a meticulous manner that aligns with regulations and procedures
  • Maintains compliance with a range of regulatory requirements at federal, state, and SRO levels and firm policies impacting different aspects of business operations
  • Confirms the satisfaction of all Continuing Education stipulations
  • Charged with the responsibility of comprehending and abiding by TD Bank & TD Wealth policies and procedures
  • Responsible for enforcing the requirements of TD's Customer Identification Program (CIP) by collecting and validating the mandatory customer identification data, as well as carrying out supplementary Customer Due Diligence and Enhanced Due Diligence Measures as specified in the Business Unit AML protocols
  • Analyzes client assets and transitions more affluent clients to the right HNW Wealth partners as needed
  • Responsible for promoting and enhancing a positive and constructive work setting with a primary focus on aiding the overall Wealth team
  • Provides instruction, wealth referral coaching, and continuous assessment to Retail and Small Business employees

Education & Experience:

  • A 4-year college education is required, but candidates with equivalent work experience will also be considered
  • Consistent achievement in investment sales and financial planning over a span of two years or more
  • Proficient understanding of the multitude of investment products and services accessible to investors
  • Essential certifications consist of the SIE, Series 7, and Series 65/66; those possessing solely the Series 65 will be mandated to secure a Series 63 or 66 within the Licensing & Registration timeline
  • Mandatory possession of Life/Health Licenses or the ability to acquire them based on the Licensing & Registration Schedule is necessary
  • Broad understanding of techniques for growing a wealth management business, integrating diverse products, services, and the broader industry framework
  • Established reputation for successfully meeting sales goals
  • Knowledgeable about the workings of retail and small business banking
  • Demonstrated proficiency in establishing relationships and effectively working with other divisions within TD Bank, America's Most Convenient Bank
  • Proficiency in travelling within the designated market to connect with prospects, clients, and partners, with travel making up 75% of the total time allocation
  • Driver's License required
