As a Banking Consultant, you will be responsible for building, expanding, and retaining existing client relationships while providing an exceptional client experience. Banking Consultants will provide expert financial solutions to existing and prospective clients by assessing their financial needs and offering solutions through bank products and services to help clients accomplish their current and future financial goals.It is expected that Banking Consultants are professional and positive Simmons Ambassadors while meeting and exceeding client expectations. All Banking Consultant positions will receive standardized training on requisite products, services, needs-based conversations, and tools necessary to perform the role.
Main Tasks and Obligations:
Make customers aware of and recommend the bank's comprehensive range of resources, including in-person branch services, digital platforms, and partner-provided resources
Achieve personal goals through the appropriate levels of in-person and outbound calling engagements that allow sharing solutions and recommendations based on a needs-focused philosophy
Manage all account functions, including opening and closing accounts, assisting customers in selecting accounts, conducting account inquiries, and ensuring compliance with BSA and CIP regulations
Assist with consumer loan requests: request loan applications, maintain knowledge of loan guidelines, and support consumer loan portfolios within the branch network
Identify customer needs and direct them to a partner-centric team that serves small businesses, corporate clients, institutions, mortgage advisors, and financial experts
Maintain high customer satisfaction levels by actively engaging clients and ensuring an exceptional customer service experience
Ensure all departmental documents and operations comply with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures, including completion of required compliance training
Deliver excellent customer service by processing requests and transactions accurately and professionally, engaging in meaningful conversations to identify customer needs and offer appropriate recommendations
Perform additional responsibilities and tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
Ability to effectively motivate and communicate information in one-on-one and small group settings with customers, clients, and internal employees
Adopt a team-focused mindset to provide excellent service in a fast-paced and evolving banking environment
Supervise and guide branch staff according to established protocols and procedures in the AFCM's absence
Education And/Or Experience:
HS Diploma/GED
One year of customer-facing experience with focus on achieving goals
Registration with the National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) is required

Computer Skills:
Proficiency in MS Office programs
Utilize social media platforms to enhance brand visibility and gather market intelligence
Other Qualifications:
Occasional travel for meetings, training, and assisting during bank conversions and acquisitions, with minimal overnight or out-of-town commitments
Ability to provide guidance and support to other banking institutions in the market
