Job Summary:

The Full-Time Floating Teller delivers personalized financial solutions by assisting clients with their daily banking activities, managing account openings and maintenance, and recommending suitable banking products and services.

Business Development:

• Establish a consistent pace for SBA business growth in the market, including tasks such as:
• Planning and executing phone calls with appropriate follow-up actions
• Conducting client retention calls to maintain existing relationships
• Prospecting new clients to expand business opportunities
• Using outbound calls to engage potential and existing clients
• Participating in networking events to strengthen community and business connections
• Growing and maintaining a robust Center of Influence (COI) network of key business and community leaders to generate referrals
• Handling sales duties, performing credit assessments, structuring loans properly, packaging and submitting SBA loan applications, conducting client interviews, and evaluating character attributes
• Developing new business connections to enhance growth and opportunities

Credit Acumen:

• Possesses knowledge of business financing options, including:
• Creating terms and offerings aligned with business requirements, asset lifecycle, and growth strategy
• Analyzing financial statements and tax returns to evaluate creditworthiness and potential risk
• Assessing short- and long-term credit needs based on business cycles and expansion plans
• Educating clients on bank underwriting standards, SBA programs, and relevant government regulations
• Collaborating with attorneys, loan closers, and internal teams to ensure timely loan closure and funding
• Balancing business priorities with client needs while managing risk exposure
• Adhering to Seacoast Bank’s Code of Conduct and ethical standards
• Mentoring junior SBA lenders to support their professional development
• Ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements including BSA, AML, and OFAC
• Processing loan applications and collecting required applicant information while following fair lending and ethical sales practices
• Addressing client concerns professionally and escalating issues when necessary

Education and Experience:

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required
• Preferred candidates hold a finance-related college degree
• At least five years of direct SBA lending experience is advantageous
• Minimum of 10 years in business development or financial services is preferred
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Proficiency in desktops, laptops, tablets, smartphones, and Microsoft Office Suite
