Job Overview: Branch Client Advisor

Branch Client Advisors focus on building strong, long-lasting client relationships by delivering outstanding service and personalized financial solutions that support clients in reaching their financial goals. This role involves providing knowledgeable financial guidance and working closely with internal bank partners. Advisors are also expected to remain actively involved in the community and engage clients across multiple banking channels, educating them on both digital and traditional banking options.

Responsibilities:

  • Guide clients and prospective customers through financial reviews and business assessments to identify solutions and uncover additional needs, ensuring commitments are met.
  • Maintain consistent communication with internal and external clients while delivering service aligned with the bank’s client experience standards.
  • Act as the primary branch associate responsible for opening new deposit accounts and originating consumer loans.
  • Generate consumer and small business loans while actively growing and managing a balanced loan and deposit portfolio.
  • Inform clients about services available through internal partners, including Treasury Management offerings.
  • Make proactive outbound calls to current and prospective clients and collaborate with the branch manager on community-based business development efforts.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of prospects through in-branch engagement and proactive outreach initiatives.
  • Partner with colleagues across various business lines and within the branch team to deliver comprehensive solutions.
  • Independently assist clients with questions and concerns related to digital banking products and services.
  • Demonstrate community involvement by participating in events, volunteering, and supporting local initiatives.
  • Embrace, model, and promote the values of the DO RIGHT TOGETHER culture.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • At least two years of banking experience or a proven track record in sales.
  • Minimum of two years of experience building client relationships, meeting sales objectives, and developing referral networks in a banking or retail environment, including cash-handling experience.
  • Two or more years of experience in a lending role involving loan origination and processing.
  • Strong understanding of consumer and business banking products and services.
  • Demonstrated experience in both consumer and business lending.
  • Strong commitment to helping clients achieve their financial objectives.
  • Ability to analyze cash flow, financial statements, and market trends.
  • Interest in expanding technical skills across online banking platforms, bill payment services, e-statements, mobile banking, ATMs, and business banking systems.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement of verbal and written communication skills, including presentation capabilities.
  • Ability to conduct outbound outreach in person and through virtual channels.
  • Capability to lift up to 25 pounds and remain standing for extended periods.
  • May be required to register as a bank MLO for open-end transactions in compliance with the SAFE Act; this role does not support closed-end MLO activities.
