The role of a Commercial Banking Officer with First Citizens Bank involves the ongoing development and expansion of relationships with business owners in the community to support them in achieving their financial goals.

Commercial Banking Officers are responsible for acquiring and managing a portfolio of business banking relationships.This associate engages bank partners to provide a full range of deposit and related business services. Larger relationships may be managed with manager approval and/or appropriate partner support. Develops and maintains an active prospect list, customer outreach plan and quality referral sources in accordance with a sales plan to achieve production goals and profitability objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Support a joint effort with various bank partners to enhance and amplify the holistic client connection.

Qualifications:

• The position necessitates a bachelor's degree and four years of experience in business lending, credit, or business development, or an alternative qualification of a high school diploma/GED with eight years of relevant experience.
• Proven record of accomplishment in business enhancement and validated talent in fostering and broadening client relationships.
• Excelling in financial assessment and proficient credit underwriting capabilities.
• Acquaintance with business funding solutions, banking products, and strategies for maximizing cash flow.
• Proficiency in communication, negotiation, and delivering impactful presentations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Formed COIs and referral pathways
• The expertise in financial analysis and credit underwriting plays a significant role in evaluating the financial stability and repayment capacity of loan applicants
• Being informed about business lending, deposit services, and cash management solutions is beneficial for organizations
• Demonstrating proficiency in delivering financial advice and specialized knowledge
• Experienced in sales estimation and future planning
