The Financial Services Advisor position is a three-year program with a guaranteed income for financial advisors or planners tasked with providing financial planning guidance and selling investment management solutions.
A Financial Services Advisor will need to leverage their experience to service the unique and complex needs of clients in the Mass Affluent (MA) segment by identifying needs, reviewing financial goals and making investment recommendations aligned to their client's goals. The role will serve as the central point of contact, responsible for providing client service & developing the relationship to achieve greater share of wallet by helping clients achieve their goals related to asset accumulation, preservation, growth, and protection.
Depth & Scope:
Capable of selling investments and presenting customized financial plans
Demonstrates a commitment to being customer-centric by delivering legendary service during every customer interaction to maximize retention and growth
Ensures that every new client undergoes the entire on-boarding process, which encompasses a thorough client discovery, conducting a financial needs analysis to deliver advice based on goals, introducing the centralized client servicing team according to client needs, and finalizing all necessary client documentation
Proficiency in partnering to support lead generation activities
Exhibits competency in handling goals, prioritizing tasks, and thriving in a fast-paced work environment
Guarantees that all clients, regardless of their status, enjoy a first-rate MA Planning Experience
Implement an organized process to confirm the completion of Annual Client Review (ACR) meetings for each client, incorporating an enhanced agenda that covers the client's overall financial needs while fostering continuous proactive dialogues
Manages the primary point of contact for TD Wealth client relationships within the MA segment, overseeing all aspects of the client's relationships with TD Bank and making referrals to Retail and Wealth partners and associates as needed
Designs and implements a specialized service model to cater to the needs of MA clients
Reaches quarterly and annual sales performance goals
Deepens wallet share by understanding client needs and suggesting tailored wealth solutions. Focuses on maximizing profitability and ensuring clients receive exceptional service experiences
Spot openings in your clientele and network for directing potential leads to Retail and Small Business/Commercial Partners
Carries out responsibilities diligently and in accordance with established policies and procedures
Complies with federal, state, and self-regulatory organization rules and internal firm policies regarding business practices, considering regulations from entities such as the NY Department of Financial Services and others
Confirms the acquisition of all Continuing Education mandates
In charge of understanding and complying with TD Bank & TD Wealth policies and procedures
Accountable for implementing TD's Customer Identification Program (CIP) by collecting and verifying essential customer identification information, and conducting further Customer Due Diligence and Enhanced Due Diligence Requirements according to the Business Unit AML procedures
Reveals client asset information and transitions high-end clients to suitable HNW Wealth partners as required
Charged with creating and maintaining a productive and positive workplace environment that is geared towards supporting the holistic needs of the Wealth team
Delivers coaching, financial referral instruction, and consistent assessment to Retail and Small Business staff
Education & Experience:
Candidates should have a bachelor's degree, though those with equivalent work experience are encouraged to apply as well
Proven performance in the selling of investments and the provision of financial planning expertise for a period exceeding two years
Thorough familiarity with the diverse selection of investment products and services available in the financial landscape
Compulsory certifications encompass the SIE, Series 7, and Series 65/66; individuals with only the Series 65 will need to procure a Series 63 or 66 during the Licensing & Registration schedule
Indispensable possession of Life/Health Licenses or the competence to attain them as per the Licensing & Registration Schedule is obligatory
Advanced insight into strategies for business expansion in wealth management, covering a variety of products, services, and the industry as a whole
Demonstrated effectiveness in achieving prescribed sales goals
Proficient with retail and small business banking
Proven aptitude for establishing relationships and partnering effectively with other departments within TD Bank, America's Most Convenient Bank
Capacity to travel within the allocated market to meet prospects, clients, and partners, with travel constituting 75% of the time commitment
Driver's License required
