Job Description:

Provide exceptional, accurate, and timely customer service by processing financial transactions and opening accounts in a retail banking environment. The Personal Banking Associate engages with potential customers to introduce them to bank products and services and offers personalized advice to current clients to deepen relationships. By meeting or surpassing sales and referral goals, this role participates in outbound sales initiatives and assists banking center management as required.

Qualifications:

• The job mandates applicants to possess a high school diploma or a GED as proof of educational attainment.
• Preferably, one year of experience as a Teller.
• A background credit check must be satisfactorily passed to proceed further in the process.

Sales and Service:

• Minimize client wait times and uphold service excellence through proactive support for tellers and customers.
• Undertake teller tasks like handling deposits, withdrawals, currency transactions, and check cashing.
• Conduct the opening and maintenance of deposit accounts, encompassing checking, savings, IRAs, certificates of deposit, and money market accounts.
• Discover client needs through consultative conversations and recommend fitting banking products and services.
• Utilize cross-selling tactics to introduce clients to a diverse range of products and refer them to partner banks to cultivate new business avenues and fortify client loyalty.
• Perform consistent outbound calls to reach out to clients and prospects, and be involved in special campaigns promoting deposit and loan services.
• Help customers with the process of applying for personal and retail consumer loans and refer completed applications to the suitable team member.

Client Experience:

• Assist clients by researching and resolving any issues they may have and addressing inquiries related to their account status.
• Offer clients a dependable, professional, and optimistic service experience.
• Resolve client questions and concerns in a timely and efficient manner.
• Strengthen your expertise in products and services through attendance at sales meetings, training seminars, and web-based educational resources.

Compliance and Risk Management:

• Abide by all appropriate bank regulations, policies, protocols, and internal risk management mechanisms.
• Uphold the risk management standards and ethical principles as outlined in the First Horizon Code of Ethics.
• Uphold compliance with the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and its corresponding regulatory framework.

Operational Efficiency:

• Assist employees at bank branches with operational responsibilities, focusing on maintaining audit integrity.
• Aid in the on-the-job education of new associates to help them succeed in banking center management.
• Stay abreast of operational updates and procedural shifts to ensure ongoing adherence.
• Undertake any other duties as deemed necessary.

Computer and Office Equipment Skills:

• Familiarity with working efficiently on Microsoft Office Suite.
• Competence in the use of office and banking tools, such as a 10-key calculator and coin-counting devices.

DeGarmo Behavioral Assessment Requirement:

• The DeGarmo Retail Behavioral Assessment needs to be successfully finalized by every candidate.
• It takes roughly 12-15 minutes to go through the assessment.
