Job Summary:Customer Relationship Manager

The Relationship Manager is responsible for building, managing, and expanding portfolios across consumer, Corporate & Industrial (C&I), and Commercial Real Estate (CRE) segments, including both loans and deposits. The role emphasizes maintaining a healthy balance between portfolio growth, credit quality, and risk control while ensuring full compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards. The RM assesses client needs, financial strength, and risk factors to develop strong relationships and deliver tailored banking solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage an active portfolio of consumer, C&I, and CRE clients (generally under $3–5MM), working toward goals related to lending, deposits, revenue, profitability, and new client acquisition.
• Handle credit evaluation, underwriting, and loan documentation; structure and approve lending transactions within assigned limits or in collaboration with credit authorities.
• Track portfolio performance by reviewing past due accounts, collateral exceptions, covenant adherence, risk ratings, and borrowing base positions.
• Generate new business by identifying prospects, leveraging referrals, and cross-selling a full range of banking products and services.
• Partner with Financial Center Managers and Market Leadership to support C&I client relationships and business development initiatives.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of lending products, deposit services, Treasury Management solutions, capital markets, and economic conditions.
• Stay informed on regulatory updates, compliance requirements, and changes in lending policies and industry practices.
• Analyze client financial statements to evaluate performance, stability, and credit risk.
• Oversee the complete loan lifecycle, including documentation, approvals, closings, and resolution of issues.
• Represent the bank in community involvement, networking events, and business growth activities.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, risk management frameworks, and regulatory compliance standards.
• Maintain reliable attendance and complete additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred
• At least 5 years of experience in banking, lending, or business development preferred
• Experience working within the local market is preferred
• NMLS certification must be obtained within the first year of employment
