Job Summary:Commercial Banking Officer

As a Commercial Banking Officer, you will be responsible for building, expanding, and retaining client relationships while providing an exceptional client experience. You will provide expert financial solutions to existing and prospective clients by assessing their financial needs and offering solutions through bank products and services to help clients accomplish their current and future financial goals.Commercial Banking Officers are expected to achieve and/or exceed individual and branch goals. Additionally, you may assist clients with account service and maintenance requests, teller transactions, problem resolution, and other transactional needs. Maintaining professionalism and positivity as a Simmons Ambassador while exceeding client expectations is essential. All Commercial Banking Officer positions will receive standardized training on requisite products, services, needs-based conversations, and tools necessary to perform the role.

Principal Duties and Obligations:

• Make customers aware of and recommend the bank's comprehensive resources, including traditional branch services, digital platforms, and affiliated business partner resources
• Support the achievement of personal goals through in-person and outbound calling activities that share valuable solutions and recommendations based on a needs-oriented philosophy
• Manage account opening and closing, assist clients in selecting the right accounts, investigate customer accounts, and comply with BSA and CIP regulations
• Assist with consumer loan applications: facilitate loan requests, stay informed about loan procedures and rules, and help oversee consumer loan holdings at the branch(es)
• Identify customer requirements and refer them to a partner-centric team serving small businesses, corporate partners, institutional clients, and mortgage/financial advisors
• Maintain optimal customer satisfaction by engaging effectively with clients and providing an exceptional service experience
• Ensure all departmental documentation and operations comply with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures, including mandatory compliance training
• Deliver customer service by handling requests and transactions accurately, professionally, and through meaningful conversations
• Execute additional duties and responsibilities as needed

Qualifications:

• Ability to positively influence and convey information in personal and small group environments to clients, customers, and coworkers
• Encourage a unified team-centric approach to assist customers in the rapidly evolving banking sector
• Direct and mentor the branch team in accordance with process and protocol when the AFCM is not present

Education And/Or Experience:

• HS Diploma/GED
• Twelve months of customer-focused roles emphasizing goal achievement
• Registration with the National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) is required

Computer Skills:

• Proficiency in MS Office programs
• Use social media networks to enhance brand visibility and gather market insights

Other Qualifications:

• Occasional travel required for meetings, training, and assisting during bank conversions and acquisitions, with minimal overnight or out-of-town obligations
• Ability to provide guidance and support to other banking establishments within the market
