Job Description for Investment Banker:

As a Investment Banker at First Citizens Bank, you will continue to focus on developing and expanding relationships with business owners in your community to assist them in meeting their financial goals.

Investment Bankers are responsible for acquiring and managing a portfolio of business banking relationships.This associate engages bank partners to provide a full range of deposit and related business services. Larger relationships may be managed with manager approval and/or appropriate partner support. Develops and maintains an active prospect list, customer outreach plan and quality referral sources in accordance with a sales plan to achieve production goals and profitability objectives.

Qualifications for Investment Banker:

• Educational qualifications for this role include a bachelor's degree and a minimum of four years of experience in business lending, credit, or business development, or alternatively, a high school diploma/GED with a background of at least eight years in these fields.
• Demonstrated expertise in progressing businesses and confirmed ability in cultivating and enlarging client alliances.
• Demonstrating aptitude in financial scrutiny and proficient in assessing credit risk.
• Understanding the array of business financing products, deposit options, and methods for efficient cash flow control.
• Demonstrates exceptional skills in communication, negotiation, and presentation delivery.

Preferred Qualifications for Investment Banker:

• Instituted COIs and channels through which referrals are received
• Proficiency in financial analysis and underwriting credit is essential for financial institutions to make well-informed decisions regarding loan approvals and credit risk management
• Knowledge of business lending, deposit services, and cash flow management solutions is fundamental for financial decision-making within companies
• Delivering expert financial guidance and specialized knowledge
• Specialized in sales forecast and strategic preparation
