As a Branch Teller Trainee at Rockland Trust, you are at the heart of our branches and the frontline of customer service, proactively exploring customer needs and offering personalized advice that serves to develop and maintain relationships. What You'll Do:

• Offer a warm and friendly greeting to customers as they arrive at the branch and assist them by guiding them to the colleague most capable of meeting their needs.
• Provide unwavering customer assistance, demonstrating efficient, successful, and respectful customer service in personal interactions and over the phone.
• Support clients in identifying the most appropriate Rockland Trust banking products based on their distinct financial needs.
• Make customers feel prioritized by accurately performing responsibilities like processing deposits, facilitating withdrawals, accepting payments, verifying checks, and completing other financial transactions.
• Collaborate with your immediate manager in decision-making, with the possibility of taking on more extensive decision-making duties as you acquire more knowledge and experience.
• Work closely with the training team and your branch team to grasp these responsibilities, and successfully complete the Teller Training program at Rockland Trust.
• Handle any other responsibilities given by the management team.

Required Qualifications:

• A high school diploma or a similar certification is a must.
• Clear and influential in verbal and written communication.
• Skilled at integrating technology, like computers, to assist in meeting business goals successfully.
• Demonstrating a focus on sales and providing excellent service.
• Showing adeptness in maintaining a professional demeanor and appearance.
• Encouraging a positive stance in dealings with clients and coworkers.
• Having the competency to fulfill the standard office obligations, which consist of extended periods of standing and consistent customer service.
• Aptitude for lifting and moving objects up to 50 pounds in mass.
• Readiness and skill to function effectively within a variable workweek, potentially involving weekends, as dictated by customer needs.
• Illustrating the ability to proficiently navigate our training program

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Candidates must demonstrate 1-2 years of prior experience as a teller or in roles that involve cash handling and customer service skills.
