The Cash Desk Associate works in a TD Store location and plays a key role in delivering legendary customer experiences while processing everyday banking transactions with accuracy and efficiency while also educating customers on TD's products and services or referring them to a partner for specialized solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• By demonstrating the appropriate behaviors consistently, this individual is ensuring that TD's brand promise to customers is fulfilled, resulting in a legendary customer experience within the store
• Efficiently facilitating customer transactions, which includes processes such as deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and safe deposit box services
• Carries out cash handling tasks with precision, which includes check cashing, currency validation, cash drawer balancing, and evening deposit processing
• Addresses customer concerns and questions following standard procedures, involving higher management when required
• Assumes a leadership role in the lobby by directing customer traffic, providing a warm welcome to customers, and guiding them effectively
• Understands the nuances of customer preferences in banking, such as timing and modes of engagement, and advises on self-service and digital tools designed to cater to these preferences
• Champion customer interests through meaningful conversations, suggesting financial and digital solutions, and coordinating with appropriate partners for further assistance
• Shows competence in decision-making and timely issue resolution, escalating more challenging problems to higher management when needed
• Ensures operational activities are performed in accordance with company guidelines and regulations such as the Bank Secrecy Act and Patriot Act to minimize risks and protect customers
• Validates customer identities as per the prescribed customer authentication policies and procedures
• Reviews and reconciles cash funds in cash registers, ATMs, and TCDs/TCRs as needed
• Adheres to the stipulated protocols and guidelines for handling safe deposit boxes
• Tasked with managing cash drawers and vaults, the person is accountable for maintaining specified cash limits and safeguarding cash continuously

Qualifications:

• The achievement of a high school diploma or a GED is a crucial step towards personal and professional advancement for many individuals
• While having six months of relevant work experience is preferred, candidates can illustrate an equivalent level of qualification through volunteering, education, or military service
• Flexibility to accommodate work hours as required, such as weekends, evenings, and holidays
• Candidates who have exhibited strong customer service skills are preferred
• Strong organizational skills

• Skill in operating effectively within a fast-paced and changing landscape
• Demonstrating exceptional communication skills with a focus on being to the point, transparent, and dependable
