Job Description for Teller Representative:

Perform a variety of routine banking transactions including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and negotiable instruments while delivering excellent customer service and promoting the bank’s products and services.

Key Responsibilities for Teller Representative:

Customer Service:

• Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of customer information.
• Provide friendly, courteous, and professional service at all times.

Teller Operations:

• Process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and account transfers accurately and efficiently.
• Cash checks and verify the authenticity of financial and negotiable instruments.
• Issue official checks, money orders, and traveler’s checks to customers.
• Handle credit card cash advance transactions.
• Balance the cash drawer daily and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy with minimal errors.
• Follow all teller procedures and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Promote and cross-sell bank products and services to meet customer needs.

Team Collaboration:

• Support team members and contribute to efficient branch operations.
• Participate in training sessions, meetings, and development programs.
• Communicate updates, concerns, and operational issues to management.
• Prepare and submit accurate reports within established deadlines.

Additional Duties:

• Perform night drop processing and other assigned clerical tasks.
• Maintain a clean, secure, and organized work environment.

Performance Expectations:

• Accurate and efficient transaction processing.
• Maintain a balanced cash drawer with minimal discrepancies.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through quality service.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting.
• Contribute to branch sales goals and customer growth initiatives.

Qualifications for Teller Representative:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of cash handling or related experience; teller experience preferred.
• Knowledge: Basic understanding of banking operations and procedures.

Required Skills and Training:

• Completion of required training programs such as Mentor Program, GS3, and Precision.
• Familiarity with teller systems, ATM balancing, and wire processing.
• Understanding of compliance standards, risk management, and dual control procedures.

Skills and Abilities:

• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Good mathematical and typing skills.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Ability to operate office and banking equipment.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent verbal communication and active listening.
• Manual dexterity with repetitive hand movements.

Work Schedule:

• Monday – Friday: 7:15 AM – 6:15 PM
• Saturday: 8:45 AM – 12:15 PM
