Job Description:

The Personal Banker role focuses on providing services for Banking Center customers and supporting the team in achieving sales, service, and operational goals based on Webster's Strategic Guidelines. Duties involve handling all customer-related financial transactions in accordance with the Bank's rules, regulations, and guidelines. Additionally, this position requires utilizing effective communication and active listening skills to understand customers' financial needs, establish trust, maximize sales opportunities, generate leads, and deliver quality customer service while developing and maintaining strong partnerships with various business segments through collaboration and communication. The ability to supervise and mentor fellow Relationship Bankers is also essential.

Responsibilities:

• Timely and accurate responses to customers are facilitated by leveraging the existing resources and tools.
• Analyzing the requirements of clients and proposing suitable financial products and services through tailored conversations to develop and strengthen relationships.
• Carry out customary teller transactions such as depositing funds, withdrawing cash, cashing checks, repaying loans, and handling other required financial activities.
• Reinforce the segmentation strategy by enacting sales, retention, and various banking programs to effectively realize the growth and profitability goals of the Banking Center.
• Striving to excel in sales, service, and operational performance at both individual and team levels are the expectations.
• Ensuring compliance with Federal and State regulations alongside internal bank policies and procedures, meeting or surpassing expectations for branch audits and assessments of operational practices.
• Provide supervision for colleagues in the banking center, offering coaching and support to bankers. Serve as a mentor and assist in the integration of new employees into the team.

Qualifications, Past Roles, and Proficiencies:

• The essential requirement is a high school diploma or GED; however, candidates with an Associate's or Bachelor's degree are preferred.
• Ideal candidates will have 2–4 years of customer sales and service experience, with 1–2 years in a supervisory role. Demonstrated success in leading, coaching, and motivating teams.
• Broad comprehension of the entirety of products and services.
• Remains current with all the systems that facilitate branch transaction processing.
• Shows a high level of customer service expertise and a knack for encouraging cooperation within the team, leading to a pleasant working atmosphere.
• Capability to accommodate a versatile and/or shifting timetable. Might need to work on weekends and beyond typical work hours. Travel may be necessary to different Banking Centers.
