Job Overview:

Client Relationship Bankers focus on fostering meaningful, long-term client relationships by delivering exceptional customer service and customized financial solutions to help clients achieve their financial goals. This involves providing reliable financial advice and frequently working in partnership with colleagues within the bank. Client Relationship Bankers are required to engage with the community and interact with clients through their preferred banking methods, offering guidance on digital and traditional banking services to meet their banking needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Encourage clients and prospects to participate in financial evaluations and business reviews to find solutions and uncover additional financial requirements. Offer guidance and ensure that commitments to clients are fulfilled.
  • Sustain direct connections with both external and internal clients, providing excellent service that aligns with the bank's elevated client service expectations.
  • Primary contact person in the branch for starting new deposit accounts and originating consumer loans.
  • Engages in the creation of consumer loans and small business loans while actively cultivating and overseeing a loan and deposit portfolio.
  • Offers guidance to clients on the services offered by internal departments, such as Treasury Management services.
  • Conducts proactive outbound phone calls to current and potential consumer and small business customers. Collaborates with the branch manager on arranging proactive meetings for business development within the local community.
  • Creates a stream of potential opportunities through in-branch and outbound strategies.
  • Collaborate with partners from different areas of the bank, both internal and external to the branch.
  • Resolving client issues with digital products and services autonomously.
  • Demonstrates community support through involvement in events held during and after business hours, on weekends, volunteer efforts, and sponsorship of community activities.
  • Actively engages in understanding, embodying, and promoting the values and practices of our DO RIGHT TOGETHER culture.
  • Other tasks may be delegated as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or its equivalent is a mandatory requirement.
  • The job requires at least two years of experience in banking or demonstrated sales expertise.
  • In the last couple of years, the candidate has been engaged in the development of client connections, accomplishment of sales targets, and establishment of referral networks in the banking or retail domain, requiring adeptness in client servicing and cash management.
  • A minimum of 2 years in a lending role with responsibilities for loan origination and processing is a must.
  • Thorough familiarity with products and services for both consumers and businesses.
  • Shown capability in consumer as well as business lending practices.
  • Displays a firm commitment to helping clients achieve their financial targets.
  • Understanding cash flow, financial statements, and market risks is a valuable skill.
  • Evidences a commitment and aptitude for developing technological competencies within a range of service mediums, including online banking platforms, bill payment functionalities, electronic statement services, mobile banking applications, ATMs, and business banking software solutions.
  • Dedicates effort to advancing communication proficiency, notably in delivering presentations.
  • Strong communication skills in both speaking and writing, including the capability to present content to crowds.
  • Proficiency in engaging in outbound calling activities, whether done in person or remotely.
  • Able to hoist up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods without tiring.
  • The responsibilities may include serving as a bank MLO for open-end transactions. All MLOs are obligated to register in compliance with the SAFE Act mandates. This position is not eligible to function as a bank closed-end MLO.
