Job Summary:

The Branch Support Specialist provides personalized financial assistance to clients by helping with daily banking needs, managing accounts, and recommending appropriate banking products and services.

Primary Responsibilities:

Business Development:

• Establish and maintain a consistent SBA business development rhythm in the market, including:
• Developing call plans and tracking follow-up actions
• Conducting client retention calls
• Prospecting new clients
• Making outbound calls to establish connections
• Participating in networking events
• Maintaining and expanding a Center of Influence (COI) network of key community and business leaders to generate referrals
• Overseeing sales activities, evaluating credit, structuring loans, preparing and submitting SBA loan applications, conducting client meetings, and assessing client characteristics
• Developing and nurturing new business relationships to drive growth and innovation

Credit Acumen:

• Possess a strong understanding of business lending solutions, including:
• Structuring tailored terms and offerings aligned with business needs, asset life cycles, and growth plans
• Analyzing financial statements and tax returns to assess creditworthiness and risk
• Identifying short- and long-term credit needs based on business cycles and expansion strategies
• Guiding clients on bank underwriting standards, SBA programs, and relevant regulations
• Collaborating with attorneys, loan closers, and internal teams to ensure timely loan closing and funding
• Balancing business objectives with customer needs while managing risk exposure
• Adhering to Seacoast Bank’s Code of Conduct and ethical standards
• Mentoring junior SBA lending professionals to support their development
• Ensuring compliance with all bank policies, including BSA, AML, and OFAC regulations
• Processing loan applications and collecting required information while maintaining ethical sales practices and fair lending standards
• Resolving client issues efficiently, escalating unresolved matters appropriately

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; finance-related college degree preferred
• Minimum of five years of direct experience in SBA lending preferred
• At least 10 years of experience in business development and financial services
• Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Proficiency with desktops, laptops, tablets, smartphones, and Microsoft Office Suite
