The primary role of a CRA Lending Specialist involves nurturing mortgage loan opportunities and expanding the bank's clientele by building strong relationships with industry professionals, such as real estate agents, contractors, and title companies.

Primary Job Functions:

• Initiates the submission of mortgage loan applications.
• Establishes the terms and interest rates for loans.
• Collects essential client information and provides expert guidance on available mortgage products.
• Complies with all mortgage-related regulations by issuing required disclosures and notices to clients.
• Maintains interest rate agreements with investors for future transactions.
• Manages the loan pipeline to protect the bank from interest rate fluctuations.
• Ensures all departmental paperwork and tasks are completed according to applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures, including mandatory compliance training.
• Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Skills:

• Ability to read and interpret manuals, business communications, and regulatory documents.
• Ability to analyze financial reports and legal documents.
• Proficiency in preparing standard reports and professional written communications.
• Ability to respond to written inquiries or complaints from clients, regulators, or industry partners.
• Effective verbal communication skills for one-on-one and small group interactions with clients, customers, and internal teams.

Education and/or Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED.

Computer Skills:

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

• NMLS License required.
