Job Description:

Provides excellent customer service to BMO clients and prospects, identifying their needs, and offering guidance on financial solutions that serve their best interests. Collaborates harmoniously within the branch and through various platforms with BMO partners to ensure the desired customer experience and accomplish overarching business aims.

Responsibilities:

• Assumes a proactive stance in engaging with current customers and potential prospects by providing assessments customized to their needs to boost loyalty and uncover immediate or future opportunities.
• Supports customers in conducting needs assessments to identify financial solutions and preferred banking channels, recommending personalized solutions that fulfill both sales and service demands, such as everyday banking, retail investments, lending options, home financing (including self-employment applications), and small business services.
• Guides clients through the process of selecting and utilizing digital and self-service tools to enable efficient and prompt banking operations.
• Supports customer transactions in response to the ebb and flow of customer visits.
• Encourages client interaction to expand BMO's business by initiating contact, coordinating meetings, and establishing fresh relationships in the local area.
• Addresses consumer credit audit questions and quality assessment discrepancies to ensure accurate data entry and lending application advice is provided in accordance with legal and regulatory standards and lending protocols.
• Employing the risk management framework is essential for protecting the Bank's assets and sustaining the quality of the lending portfolio within the parameters of yield, quality, diversification, and risk as per established guidelines and lending process requirements.
• Offers credit recommendations for personal borrowing, particularly in relation to home loans, according to the Bank's credit risk policies and operational guidelines.
• Is an essential part of an integrated and dynamic branch and market team.
• Utilizing investigative techniques to comprehend customer personal banking and credit card needs and blending marketing promotions and programs into customer interactions to offer strategic guidance.
• Maintains the precision and thoroughness of work information through organized arrangements.
• Takes the initiative in exploring creative avenues that enrich the individualized nature of customer interactions.
• Strives to find approaches to contribute to the continual betterment of the overall customer journey.

• Complies with the legal and regulatory guidelines specific to the jurisdiction.
• Ensures the security of the bank's assets by complying with regulatory, legal, and ethical standards.
• Executes a range of complex tasks within specified parameters and may involve dealing with escalated issues from other colleagues.
• Evaluates situations and establishes the course of action to be followed.
• Increased work scope or responsibilities could be assigned as needed.

Qualifications:

• The desired qualifications include roughly 2 to 3 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field, or an equivalent blend of educational background and practical experience.
• Selling investment products in Canada has been successfully registered in conformity with jurisdiction-specific requirements.
• Suitable borrowing requirements and accreditations.
• Having a working knowledge of the requirements and fixes pertinent to individual customers and small business operations.
• Command of retail investment solutions and lending products.
• Experience in financial services is a positive attribute.
• Skilled and confident in operating social media channels, tablets, smartphones, internet resources, and software.
• Background in customer service or sales where the main focus is on providing consultative assistance and individualized customer care.
