Job Description for Banking Teller:

The Banking Teller supports daily branch operations by assisting customers with routine banking needs and providing efficient, professional service. The position handles cash and account transactions, responds to customer requests, develops positive relationships, and identifies opportunities to connect customers with relevant banking products and services.

Key Responsibilities for Banking Teller:

• Process daily cash and account transactions at branch teller stations and drive-through locations.
• Provide friendly and efficient customer service while building strong customer relationships.
• Process deposits, loan payments, checks, savings withdrawals, night deposits, and mail deposits.
• Issue cashier's checks and assist customers with savings bond redemption.
• Respond to customer questions and provide assistance through in-person and telephone interactions.
• Complete additional financial transactions and required currency transaction reports when applicable.
• Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate banking products, services, and referrals.
• Document customer activities, recommendations, events, and interactions using 360View and other applicable systems.
• Assist customers with consumer credit card application procedures.
• Handle customer requests involving account closures, check orders, foreign currency exchanges, statements, referrals, and safe-deposit box services.
• Monitor cash levels, maintain appropriate currency supplies, and coordinate cash requirements with management.
• Follow established banking procedures, security standards, and dual-control requirements.
• Protect customer privacy and maintain the confidentiality of financial and personal information.
• Participate in training and development programs to strengthen banking knowledge and job-related skills.
• Work with branch team members to improve customer service and support branch objectives.
• Maintain knowledge of banking products and effectively use customer-facing systems and technology.
• Complete assigned responsibilities accurately while minimizing transaction errors.
• Participate in community and volunteer activities when appropriate.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Education and Experience:
