Job Description:

The Cash Handling Associate supports daily branch operations by processing customer transactions, managing cash accurately, and providing professional banking assistance. This position handles account requests, assists customers with financial services, maintains accurate records, and identifies opportunities to connect customers with appropriate banking products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process routine teller transactions at branch lobby counters and drive-up service locations.
• Provide dependable customer service while developing positive and lasting customer relationships.
• Process deposits, loan payments, checks, savings withdrawals, night deposits, and mailed deposits.
• Process cashier's checks and assist with savings bond redemption requests.
• Answer customer questions and provide assistance through in-person and telephone interactions.
• Complete additional financial transactions and prepare currency transaction reports when required.
• Identify customer needs, explain available banking products and services, and make appropriate referrals.
• Use 360View and other designated systems to document customer activities, referrals, events, and interactions.
• Assist customers with consumer credit card application and processing requests.
• Handle account closures, check orders, foreign currency exchanges, statement copies, referrals, and safe-deposit box services.
• Reconcile cash drawers by reviewing transactions, verifying balances, identifying discrepancies, and maintaining accurate cash records.
• Follow established banking procedures, security standards, operational policies, and dual-control requirements.
• Protect customer privacy and maintain the confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
• Participate in training programs to strengthen knowledge of banking procedures, products, services, and job responsibilities.
• Work collaboratively with branch employees to improve customer service and support branch objectives.
• Maintain knowledge of financial products and demonstrate proficiency with customer service and banking systems.
• Complete assigned duties accurately while minimizing transaction and processing errors.
• Participate in approved community service and volunteer activities.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Previous cash-handling experience is preferred.
