Job Description:

At Regions, the Senior Banking Relationship Specialist is responsible for meeting with customers and prospects both in person and on the phone to determine their financial needs, and meeting those needs by proactively offering appropriate products, services, and guidance to achieve their financial goals. This role will focus on acquiring and deepening existing customer relationships with a focus on Preferred Banking Households to include more complex, affluent solutions, wealth opportunities, investments, lending, debt consolidation, and in-depth saving conversations.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Meets individual and branch milestones through the proactive identification of customer needs and offering specialized guidance and insights on Regions' products, with a particular emphasis on Preferred Banking Households
• Engages in making outgoing phone calls utilizing compiled lists of potential customer leads from Preferred Banking and other consumer households to enhance current connections and establish new ones
• Assists the Branch Team in managing relationships with a portfolio of Preferred Banking Households
• Assists and informs customers about Regions' Consumer and Business products and services, ranging from different loan and deposit variations to annuities and life insurance policies
• Provides information to customers regarding new technology and digital solutions, such as mobile applications, online banking facilities, and ATM services, to facilitate easier banking transactions
• Manages to provide a reliable and superior customer experience by potentially allocating the tasks associated with daily branch operations like greeting clients and processing transactions to ensure that clients conduct their banking activities at the time, place, and manner that suits them best
• Takes charge of customer concerns and ensures they are resolved satisfactorily
• Upon recognizing further financial objectives and requirements, customers are referred to a team of in-house specialists
• Help junior bankers advance within the team through subject matter expertise
• Abides by bank procedures and laws while executing assigned responsibilities as directed by the Branch Manager. Works collaboratively with the branch team to enforce secure banking methods and to pinpoint, manage, and disclose operational risks

The position involves documenting time worked over 40 hours a week and is eligible for overtime under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Requirements:

• The achievement of a high school diploma or GED signifies a significant educational milestone and accomplishment
• A background of two years in banking, sales, or customer service is preferred
• Proficient in the handling of physical currency and facilitating cash-based transactions
• Capability to convey messages effectively via in-person, phone, and digital mediums
• Ability to use a computer on a frequent basis, including typing and sustained attention to a monitor
• Availability to work on Saturdays when required
• Having the capacity to move on foot and maintain a standing position for an extended period
• Ability to lift loads of up to twenty pounds in weight

Compensation Details:

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
