Job Title: Retail Bank Teller

Job Description:

Execute a variety of day-to-day banking transactions including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and negotiable instruments, while delivering exceptional customer service and promoting the bank’s products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

Transaction Processing:

• Handle customer transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and account transfers.
• Process check transactions and verify the validity of financial instruments.
• Issue official checks, money orders, and traveler’s checks.
• Process credit card cash advance requests.
• Balance cash drawer daily and research and resolve any discrepancies.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy with minimal errors.
• Follow established teller procedures and ensure full compliance with policies.
• Identify opportunities to promote and cross-sell banking products and services.

Client Service:

• Address customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Protect and maintain the confidentiality of customer information.
• Deliver friendly, courteous, and professional service during every customer interaction.

Team Support:

• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient branch operations.
• Participate in training sessions, meetings, and ongoing development programs.
• Communicate effectively with management regarding updates or concerns.
• Complete and submit reports accurately and within deadlines.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Perform night deposit processing and other administrative duties as assigned.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and secure work environment.

Performance Expectations:

• Consistent accuracy and efficiency in transaction processing.
• Maintain a balanced cash drawer with minimal discrepancies.
• Build strong customer relationships through high-quality service.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of reports.
• Support branch sales efforts and customer relationship growth.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of cash handling or related experience; teller experience preferred.
• Knowledge: Basic understanding of banking operations and procedures.

Required Skills and Training:

• Completion of required training programs such as Mentor Program, GS3, and Precision.
• Knowledge of teller systems, ATM balancing, and wire transfer processing.
• Understanding of compliance standards, risk management, and dual control procedures.

Skills and Abilities:

• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Solid mathematical and data entry skills.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Ability to operate office and banking equipment efficiently.

Physical Requirements:

Work Schedule:

• Monday – Friday: 7:15 AM – 6:15 PM
• Saturday: 8:45 AM – 12:15 PM
