Job Description:

Deliver exceptional, accurate, and timely customer service by processing financial transactions daily in a retail banking setting. As the primary point of contact for many customers, the Cash Processing Associate establishes strong relationships by providing excellent service, suggesting appropriate bank products, and referring clients to other Bank divisions as necessary. This position supports revenue growth through the development and maintenance of long-term, profitable client relationships while ensuring compliance with operational and procedural standards and maintaining proper cash control.

Qualifications:

• Candidates must have completed high school or earned a GED to be considered.
• Preference is given to candidates with six months of experience in cash handling or as a teller, or a similar blend of educational background and work history.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Competence in working with office and financial equipment, like a 10-key calculator and coin-counting machine.
• Successful passing of the DeGarmo Retail Behavioral Assessment is compulsory.
• The estimated time needed to complete the assessment is 12–15 minutes, and it should be submitted before the application review.

Crucial Responsibilities and Tasks:

Operational Efficiency:

• Maintain the accuracy of a cash drawer through careful monitoring and adherence to proper cash handling practices.
• Observe and follow all audit, security, and operational policies and procedures.
• Administer customer transactions by conducting tasks such as deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and processing loan payments.
• Fulfill tasks related to transactions such as bonds, municipal coupons, and money orders.
• Support in the daily administration and handling of ATMs, ensuring all essential entries are accurately recorded.
• Ensuring the accuracy of funds received through night and lobby depository boxes.
• Support in fulfilling dual control vault duties efficiently.
• Stay abreast of operational updates and procedural shifts to ensure continual adherence.

Client Experience:

• Provide clients with a consistent and positive experience in all their interactions with the company.
• Effectively and speedily resolve any questions or concerns raised by clients.
• Assist individuals with selected service needs to optimize their overall customer experience.
• Enhance comprehension of products and services by actively participating in sales meetings, training sessions, and online educational materials.

Sales and Service:

• Identify moments to propose related options to clients as part of the cross-selling strategy.
• Ensure clients and leads are directed to the suitable internal partners to meet their requirements.
• Fortify client relationships by advocating for the use of comprehensive banking solutions and services.

Compliance and Risk Management:

• Abide by the bank's regulations, policies, protocols, and internal monitoring systems.
• Abide by the risk management norms and uphold the ethical principles detailed in the First Horizon Code of Ethics.
• Fulfill any other job responsibilities as required.
