Job Description:

In the Banking Consultant role, individuals are responsible for delivering excellent customer service, promoting and selling banking products, and efficiently processing transactions. Strong communication skills and in-depth product knowledge are essential to ensure a high-quality customer experience and support overall sales growth.

Position Accountabilities:

• Develop customer loyalty through personalized, needs-based conversations that create a tailored banking experience
• Maintain strong knowledge of all bank products and services across multiple business lines
• Demonstrate proficiency in digital banking tools including Zoom, Appointment Scheduler, DocuSign, GRO, Online Banking, Mobile Banking, and ATM Banking
• Drive proactive sales conversations through internal collaboration and external engagement, including outbound calling, converting service interactions into sales opportunities, teller interactions, and appointment setting
• Source new customers through proactive outreach while strengthening and expanding existing relationships
• Identify and close sales opportunities to achieve individual and branch sales goals
• Support branch growth through customer acquisition and retention strategies
• Partner with Mortgage, Investments, Business Banking, Commercial Banking, Merchant Services, and Treasury Management teams
• Identify customer lending and financial service needs and recommend appropriate solutions
• Assist customers in resolving issues related to deposits, credit, and banking services
• Analyze performance scorecards and adjust activities to meet sales objectives
• Perform teller duties including cash handling and transaction processing
• Balance cash daily and ensure accuracy of all transactions
• Comply with all banking laws and regulations including BSA/AML requirements
• Mitigate risk by following policies and using sound judgment within established guidelines
• Complete complex branch operational tasks as assigned
• Complete all required training programs
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Organizational Relationship:

This position reports to the designated Branch Leader.

Education and Experience:

• NMLS registration required or ability to obtain
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience in banking or financial services preferred
• Minimum 1 year of sales or customer relationship experience preferred
• Cash handling experience preferred
• Teller experience strongly preferred
• Customer service experience required
• Lending experience preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

• Excellent customer service and client engagement skills
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities
• Sound business judgment and decision-making capability
• Proficiency in digital banking and computer systems
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with strong attention to detail
• Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment

Work schedules may vary depending on business needs. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds is required.

Compensation will be based on education, experience, and certifications. This role may also be eligible for incentive compensation or discretionary profit-sharing bonuses.
