Job Description:

At Regions, the Senior Banking Specialist is responsible for meeting with customers and prospects both in person and on the phone to determine their financial needs, and meeting those needs by proactively offering appropriate products, services, and guidance to achieve their financial goals. This role will focus on acquiring and deepening existing customer relationships with a focus on Preferred Banking Households to include more complex, affluent solutions, wealth opportunities, investments, lending, debt consolidation, and in-depth saving conversations.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Successfully meets individual and branch goals by proactively identifying customer needs and offering advanced-level guidance and insights on Regions' solutions, with a special emphasis on Preferred Banking Households
• Reaches out to customers and prospects through outbound phone calls utilizing lead lists from Preferred Banking and other consumer households to strengthen current relationships and establish new ones
• Supports the Branch Team in serving as the key relationship managers for a portfolio of Preferred Banking Households
• Educates clients on Regions' range of Consumer and Business products and services, which include diverse loan and deposit choices, annuities, and life insurance options, offering advice and support
• Educates clients on emerging technology and digital solutions like mobile banking, online services, and ATM functionalities, with the goal of streamlining the banking experience
• Maintains a steady and excellent customer service journey by potentially distributing the tasks associated with daily branch operations like meeting customers and managing transactions to secure that customers conduct their banking activities when, where, and in what manner they desire
• Manages and effectively handles customer concerns and complaints
• Customers are referred to an internal group of specialists if further financial goals and needs are detected
• Help junior bankers in the team develop by sharing subject matter knowledge
• Ensures strict adherence to bank regulations, protocols, and laws by following instructions from the Branch Manager. Contributes as a part of the branch group to maintain reliable banking practices and to identify, handle, and report operational risks

This position involves recording hours worked beyond the 40-hour weekly threshold and is eligible for overtime pay according to the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Requirements:

• Graduating with a high school diploma or earning a GED is an important achievement that validates one's educational competence
• Demonstrated experience of two years in banking, sales, or customer service is necessary
• Proficient in handling cash and executing monetary transactions accurately
• Skill in conversing through in-person meetings, phone discussions, and digital channels
• Ability to use a computer on a frequent basis, including typing and sustained attention to a monitor
• Readiness to work on Saturdays in case of necessity
• The ability to stay on one's feet and walk for extended periods of time
• Capacity to handle items weighing up to twenty pounds

Certifications/Licensures:

Due to the distinctiveness of these factors from person to person, compensation can fluctuate even among colleagues in identical positions.
