Job Overview:

The Credit Operations Specialist is responsible for servicing consumer, small business, SBA, and commercial loans in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with strict deadlines. This role handles complex assignments requiring independent judgment and initiative to resolve problems and develop recommendations. The specialist interacts with bank staff at all levels, customers, escrow/title personnel, attorneys, and other external professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform loan servicing tasks including general loan maintenance, processing payments, entering data, creating loan documents, perfecting liens, assisting with escrow and tax support, reviewing flood documentation, and reconciling the general ledger.
• Manage loan processes for multiple client segments—consumers, small businesses, SBA, and commercial entities—ensuring compliance with internal workflows and regulatory requirements.
• Provide exceptional support and timely responses to both internal and external customer inquiries.
• Collect performance metrics to assist management in optimizing and adjusting daily operations.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and support workflow enhancements.
• Ensure accuracy, meet deadlines, and communicate progress for potential reassignment.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in loan servicing, helping others understand processes, policies, and procedures.
• Promote mentoring and knowledge-sharing within the team.
• Participate in cross-functional projects spanning multiple departments.
• Maintain compliance with bank regulations, policies, and procedures, staying updated on any changes.

Qualifications and Skills:

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• 2-4 years of experience in consumer, SBA, or commercial/business loan servicing.
• Strong understanding of consumer, SBA, and commercial/business loans, including products, services, and documentation requirements.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently and adapt to frequent workflow changes.
• Proficiency in mathematics, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and multitasking.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills across all organizational levels.
• Proficient with computer applications including Word, Excel, loan servicing systems, and other office tools.
• Capable of performing efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume, service-oriented environment.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

Compensation:
