The Financial Credit Advisor is tasked with offering advice, creating tailored credit solutions, and supporting clients in improving their credit profiles

As a Financial Credit Advisor, you will have the vital task of facilitating loans for clients with residential mortgage requirements, while acting as the main lending specialist at the financial center. Your interactions with clients, whether in person or over the phone, will involve providing various lending products, such as Primary Mortgages, Home Equity Lines of Credit (HELOCs), Vehicle Loans, Credit Cards, and Core Banking Services. Your role is instrumental in fostering and nurturing client relationships, managing sales performance, operational risks, and ensuring a satisfactory client experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized support to clients through personalized service, aiding them in selecting from a diverse range of banking and borrowing solutions that align with their financial objectives at various life phases.
  • Arrange lending facilities for customers interested in obtaining residential property loans, which may involve Primary Mortgage agreements and Home Equity Line of Credit agreements. Also, market a selection of financial products such as Car Loans, Charge Accounts, and Basic Banking services.
  • Examine the monetary needs of individuals and apply your banking and lending product expertise to advise on the most appropriate strategies that match their aims.
  • Assess and go over diverse residential lending solutions, guiding customers in filling out the home loan application with the necessary paperwork and staying in constant communication throughout the application progression.
  • Establish communication with customers via outreach efforts and pipeline administration duties, implementing systematic follow-up processes to satisfy client needs and develop sustained relationships.
  • Handle client inquiries, give timely status updates, and refer clients to the proper internal resources that cater to their specific financial necessities.
  • Partner with financial center leaders, performance managers, and market leaders to give specific guidance and coaching to team members, with the goal of delivering outstanding client service.
  • Control operational risk by overseeing the compliance of loan applications and operations with both company regulations and external requirements.
  • Employ customer relationship tracking systems to monitor sales achievements, client engagements, and post-communication responsibilities.
  • Compliance with the SAFE Act registration obligations, involving background screening and registration continuity, is mandatory for individuals in this position.

Required Qualifications:

  • Candidates should possess a minimum of two years of mortgage origination experience. Alternatively, individuals who have previously held positions such as Home Service Specialist II, Lending Client Associate, Lending Client Support Manager, Lending Specialist, Senior Banker, Business Solutions Advisor, or Financial Solutions Advisor at Bank of America for at least one year are also eligible for consideration, exempting them from the mortgage origination experience requirement
  • Having knowledge of the conditions for credit and mortgage approval is important
  • Shows a keen interest in understanding the client's needs and objectives through attentive listening and a proactive approach to client interactions.
  • Exhibits a high level of professionalism in communication, effectively conveying messages with confidence and comfort when engaging with clients both in person and through telephone interactions.
  • Being a critical thinker involves examining financial and credit data to inform clients about product/pricing regulations and standards, as well as acquiring any additional information that may be necessary.
  • Demonstrates adeptness in customer service capabilities, including managing the entire client process and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Skillful in articulating ideas clearly through verbal and written communication.
  • Skill in dealing with vagueness and flexibly responding to varying scenarios.
  • Devoted, eager, goal-oriented, and productivity-focused; exhibits a potent dedication to tasks at hand.
  • Able to be versatile in working weekends and extended periods as the situation demands.

  • Previous employment within a financial establishment where performance goals were regularly exceeded.
  • Skill in examining and making sense of complex financial data and proposing financial alternatives.
  • Awareness of the various products and services provided by banks.
  • Skilled in effectively managing time and organizing, prioritizing, and completing numerous tasks simultaneously.
  • Practical background in loan origination in a retail environment combined with expertise in a range of Mortgage Products, including Conventional, Jumbo, HELOC, and Government-backed alternatives
  • Steps involved in structuring, handling, assessing, and concluding financial transactions
  • Regulations put in place by the federal authorities that control lending practices in the real estate industry
  • FHA and HUD guidelines establish criteria and benchmarks for real estate transactions and property development
  • Diverse Credit Services (Credit Card, Auto Loans)
  • Skilled in Microsoft applications and adept at leveraging laptop technology based on past experience.
