Job Description:

The Bank Teller is responsible for supporting day-to-day banking activities within the branch lobby and drive-through areas while delivering a high standard of customer service. This position assists customers with account-related needs, accurately processes financial transactions, builds strong customer relationships, and identifies opportunities to connect customers with additional banking products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process standard teller transactions efficiently and accurately in both the branch lobby and drive-through areas.
• Provide friendly and professional customer service while developing lasting relationships and recognizing opportunities to recommend relevant banking products and solutions.
• Process deposits, loan payments, check transactions, savings withdrawals, night deposits, and deposits received through the mail.
• Issue cashier's checks and assist customers with the redemption of savings bonds.
• Respond to customer questions and provide assistance both in person and over the telephone.
• Complete additional financial activities as necessary, including the preparation of currency transaction reports.
• Identify referral and cross-selling opportunities by understanding customer needs, explaining applicable products and services, and connecting customers with the appropriate banking professionals.
• Use 360View to document customer interactions, activities, events, recommendations, and communications with internal teams and external business partners.
• Assist customers with consumer credit card applications and related processes.
• Support various customer requests, including account closures, check orders, foreign currency exchanges, special statements, statement copies, referrals, and safe-deposit box services.
• Balance and prepare cash drawers by accurately counting, organizing, and verifying cash and coins, maintaining appropriate cash levels, and following established cash-handling procedures.
• Follow all applicable banking procedures, security requirements, and dual-control guidelines.
• Protect customer privacy and maintain the confidentiality of sensitive financial and personal information.
• Attend training sessions and development programs to strengthen knowledge of banking procedures, products, services, and role-specific responsibilities.
• Assist other team members and contribute to improved customer satisfaction and overall branch performance.
• Demonstrate knowledge of financial services and effectively use customer relationship and interaction systems.
• Complete assigned duties accurately and efficiently while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and minimizing errors.
• Participate in community and charitable activities through volunteer opportunities.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) equivalent is required.
• Previous experience handling cash or working with financial transactions is preferred.
