Relationship Portfolio Manager

Job Description:

A position is available for a Relationship Portfolio Manager within the Commercial Real Estate Group (CREG) who will be responsible for underwriting, monitoring credit, and managing portfolios encompassing acquisition, value-add/bridge, and construction loans across diverse asset types.

Responsibilities:

• Help the RM with structuring, underwriting, and overseeing loans for non-owner-occupied commercial real estate, ensuring alignment with the Bank's established guidelines and policies.
• Provide essential support to the Relationship Manager by connecting with clients, legal counsel, and internal teams, improving communication flow and coordination across various departments.
• Reviewing and composing pre-screening records, formal loan approval memos, revisions, annual assessments, and adjustments in risk grading.
• The continuous management of portfolios involves overseeing financial statements, ensuring covenant adherence, and evaluating and modifying risk ratings when required.
• Adhere strictly to the Bank's regulatory and credit conditions.
• Carry out additional administrative tasks and specific projects to ensure the upkeep of a portfolio of clients.

Qualifications:

• The role requires either a bachelor's degree or a mix of educational attainment and directly related experience.
• An ideal candidate would have garnered 5-10 years of experience in commercial banking, with at least 2 years directly managing commercial real estate portfolios.
• Advanced underwriting skills, Excel modeling capabilities, and effective business writing techniques.
• Attention to detail.
• Proficiency in analyzing personal, corporate, and investment fund financial statements.
• Demonstrates proficiency in understanding credit policy and procedures and is skilled at accurately rating the risk of loans/credits.
• Develop approaches to handle challenging credit loans.
• Exhibits sound knowledge of treasury management and derivative instruments, highlighting the proficiency in aligning the Bank’s resources to offer effective full-service solutions to the organization.
