As a Bank Operations Associate, one is responsible for delivering excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and guiding customers on appropriate banking products and services.
Bank Operations Associates play a key role in upholding the bank's Breakthrough Client Service Standards and often serve as the primary point of contact for customers. With guidance from the Branch Manager and Assistant Branch Manager, they ensure banking transactions are completed accurately, ethically, and in full compliance with Columbia Bank policies and financial regulations. This role also focuses on building and strengthening client relationships through meaningful interactions that uncover customer needs and identify opportunities to offer additional banking solutions.
Responsibilities include:
Performs teller transactions and cash-handling activities with accuracy and confidentiality on a consistent basis.
Executes and supports daily operational tasks that help maintain the integrity and reputation of the branch.
Reduces operational risk by securely safeguarding cash and promptly processing accounting or fund transfers.
Engages effectively with internal and external customers, anticipates needs, and provides proactive solutions in alignment with the bank’s Breakthrough Client Service Standards.
Continuously expands knowledge of Columbia Bank’s products and services and remains current on updates and changes.
Identifies customer financial needs and recommends appropriate banking products and services.
Supports branch referral goals by identifying opportunities and referring customers to the appropriate banking partners.

Qualifications include:
High school diploma or GED required.
One year of prior banking or customer service experience preferred.
