Job Description for Universal Banking Associate:

Provide quality, accurate, and timely customer service through daily processing of financial transactions and account openings in a retail banking environment. The Universal Banking Associate introduces bank products and services through outreach to prospects and delivers tailored recommendations to existing clients to deepen relationships. This role supports banking center goals by meeting or exceeding sales and referral targets, conducting outbound sales activities, and assisting banking center management as needed.

Qualifications for Universal Banking Associate:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• One (1) year of experience as a Teller preferred.
• Successful completion of a background credit check is required.

Sales and Service:

• Provide both teller and platform support as needed to minimize client wait times and deliver high-quality service.
• Perform teller transactions including deposits, withdrawals, currency and coin handling, and check cashing.
• Open and service deposit accounts including checking, savings, IRAs, certificates of deposit, and money market accounts.
• Identify client needs through consultative conversations and recommend appropriate banking products and services.
• Cross-sell products and make referrals to bank partners to generate new business and deepen client relationships.
• Conduct regular outbound calls to clients and prospects, including participation in special deposit and loan campaigns.
• Assist clients with personal and retail consumer loan applications and hand off completed applications to the appropriate associate.

Client Experience:

• Research and resolve client issues and respond to inquiries regarding account status.
• Deliver consistent, professional, and positive client experiences.
• Promptly and effectively resolve client questions and concerns.
• Enhance product and service knowledge by attending sales meetings, training sessions, and web-based learning.

Compliance and Risk Management:

• Comply with all applicable bank regulations, policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Adhere to risk management standards and the First Horizon Code of Ethics.
• Maintain compliance with the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and all related regulations.

Operational Efficiency:

• Assist banking center associates with daily operational activities, including audit controls.
• Support banking center management with on-the-job training of new associates.
• Stay informed of operational updates and procedural changes to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Perform all other job-related duties as assigned.

Computer and Office Equipment Skills:

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to use office and banking equipment including a 10-key calculator and coin counter.

DeGarmo Behavioral Assessment Requirement:

• All candidates must complete the DeGarmo Retail Behavioral Assessment to be considered.
• The assessment takes approximately 12–15 minutes to complete.
• Assessment results must be submitted prior to application review by Talent Acquisition.
