The key responsibility of the Commercial Banking Associate is to deliver exceptional customer service by following the Breakthrough Client Experience Standards. They are entrusted with building new relationships and broadening existing ones by probing to understand needs, recommending suitable products and services, and referring clients to the relevant bank colleagues when required. Moreover, they are tasked with discovering and initiating consumer lending prospects.

Responsibilities include:

• Improve customer experience by swiftly acknowledging clients, determining their needs, suggesting fitting products and services, and promptly responding to any inquiries they may have.
• Prompt engagement with clients and prospects in reviewing their financial circumstances and business financial evaluations to address needs and explore additional financial opportunities.
• Give recommendations and fulfill obligations to clients as agreed.
• Maintain ongoing connections with both internal and external clientele, consistently delivering innovative answers and resolving problems in accordance with the bank's Breakthrough Client Service Standards.
• Manage the process of establishing consumer and business accounts, welcoming both new and established clientele.
• Help Client Service Specialists by engaging in teamwork and taking over teller tasks (including cash transactions) as the situation demands.
• Contribute to the branch's objective by identifying and referring a broad selection of bank products and services to the appropriate internal business partners.
• Remain current on industry innovations and practices.
• Handle client issues and requests promptly, demonstrating thoroughness in completion.
• Enhance understanding of business, customer, and faith institutions.
• Other responsibilities may be designated as needed.

Qualifications include:

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• One year of experience in a client service specialist (teller) or similar banking role is preferred.
• Knowledge of basic consumer banking practices and available products and services.
• Capability and enthusiasm to develop consumer lending skills.
• Ability to follow standardized operational procedures.
• Accuracy in cash handling, account reconciliation, and mathematical calculations.
• Ability to manage multiple client requests efficiently.
• Strong relationship-building skills with new and existing clients.
• Knowledge of applicable state laws and regulations regarding banking products and services.
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to obtain Nationwide Multistate Licensing and Registry (NMLS) preferred.
