Job Description: Corporate Auditor

Partners with their respective Line of Business, as well as other Risk, Compliance, and Audit experts, and RCA Managers to generate, implement, sustain, assess, or supervise a viable risk management system. Engages in projects and undertakings that ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Identifies deficiencies and recommends solutions to mitigate losses resulting from ineffective internal processes, systems, or human error. Detects, addresses, and escalates risks as appropriate, serving as a key liaison between the Line of Business and the Lines of Defense.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist audit management in planning and organizing audit engagements by evaluating risks, mitigation strategies, operational processes, key risks, and critical controls.
• Manage and guide staff auditors in assessing controls in accordance with audit programs, including the use of appropriate sampling and testing methodologies.
• Review and document audit work to support conclusions and ensure adherence to internal audit standards.
• Develop audit issues under the direction of audit leadership, including identifying control gaps, assessing impact, determining root causes, and proposing cost-effective solutions.
• Support audit managers during reporting and audit closure activities.
• Apply feedback and coaching to continuously improve performance and audit outcomes.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Five or more years of relevant professional experience.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Strong knowledge of financial services, including financial reporting, accounting standards, tax regulations, SOX requirements, compliance frameworks, and risk management practices.
• In-depth understanding of the Global Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing.
• CIA, CPA, or other relevant professional certification, or an advanced degree.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong critical thinking and analytical abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet varying deadlines simultaneously.

Work Schedule:

This role follows a hybrid work schedule requiring in-office presence at least three days per week, with the opportunity to work remotely on remaining days.

The listed salary range is based on the primary job location and may vary depending on the role’s location.
