Job Description:Banking Consultant

The Banking Consultant role will provide services for Banking Center customers and assist the team in achievement of sales, service, and operation goals, based on Webster's Strategic Guidelines. The role will process all customer related financial transactions in accordance with the rules, regulations, and guidelines of the Bank. Additionally, this role uses excellent communication and active listening skills to learn about the customer's financial needs, establish trust, optimize sales opportunities, generate leads, and provide quality customer service as well as develop and maintain a strong partnership with various business segments through collaboration and communication. Ability to supervise and coach fellow relationship Bankers

Responsibilities:

• Timely and accurate customer responses are delivered by efficiently capitalizing on available resources and tools
• Understanding the needs of customers and offering fitting financial services and products through personalized discussions to build and enrich relationships.
• Complete regular teller tasks by handling deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, loan repayments, and any other required financial transactions.
• Reinforce the segmentation strategy by enacting sales, retention, and various banking programs to effectively realize the growth and profitability goals of the Banking Center.
• The desired outcome is to meet or exceed individual and team objectives in sales, service, and operations
• Following Federal and State regulations as well as bank policies and procedures. Meeting or surpassing expectations for branch audits and assessments of operational effectiveness
• Help in overseeing colleagues at the banking center by providing coaching assistance to other bankers. Act as a role model and aid in the integration of new colleagues.

Learning Experiences, Expertise, and Abilities:

• Prospective candidates should possess a high school diploma or GED, with a preference for an Associate's or Bachelor's degree.
• Ideal candidates will have 2-4 years of customer sales and service experience, with 1-2 years in a supervisory role. Demonstrated success in leading, coaching, and motivating teams.
• Proficiency in all products and services within the company
• Stays updated with all systems employed for branch transaction processing.
• Manifests strong customer service skills and a talent for building teamwork, which leads to a positive working ambiance.
• Essential qualifications include the ability to work a flexible and/or rotating schedule, potentially requiring weekends, extended hours, and travel to different Banking Centers.
