In the Banking Services Officer role, one will serve customers at the Banking Center and assist the team in meeting sales, service, and operational goals as per Webster's Strategic Guidelines. Key responsibilities include conducting all customer-related financial transactions according to the Bank's rules, regulations, and standards. Additionally, this position requires utilizing strong communication and active listening skills to understand customers' financial needs, build trust, maximize sales opportunities, create leads, deliver excellent customer service, and foster a strong partnership with various business sectors through collaboration and effective communication. The ability to supervise and mentor other Relationship Bankers is also crucial.

Responsibilities:
Efficiently responding to customers' needs in a timely and accurate manner is dependent on maximizing available resources and tools.
Assessing clients' needs and recommending appropriate financial products and services through personalized conversations to cultivate and enhance relationships.
Carry out day-to-day teller operations like depositing money, withdrawing funds, cashing checks, repaying loans, and fulfilling other transactional requirements.
Reinforce the segmentation strategy by integrating sales, retention, and other bank programs to carry out the growth and profit objectives of the Banking Center.
The expectation is to achieve or surpass both personal and team goals in sales, service, and operations.
Abides by Federal and State regulations and internal bank policies and procedures, meeting or excelling branch audit criteria and assessments of operational performance.
Provide assistance in supervising banking center colleagues through coaching support for fellow bankers. Take on a mentoring role and assist in the onboarding of new team members.
Qualifications, Employment History, and Competency Overview:
While a high school diploma or GED is required, candidates with an Associate's or Bachelor's degree are preferred.
Preference for candidates with 2–4 years of customer sales and service experience, particularly those with 1–2 years in a supervisory position. Demonstrated achievements in leading, mentoring, and driving team performance.
Full awareness of the spectrum of products and services offered.
Remains informed about all the systems in place for branch transaction processing.
Projects excellent customer service skills and a knack for supporting teamwork, ultimately nurturing a positive work environment.
Adaptability to a flexible and/or rotating schedule is essential, with the possibility of working weekends, long hours, and traveling to various Banking Centers.
