Job Description:

The Teller is responsible for performing daily banking transactions in both the lobby and drive-up areas of the branch while delivering exceptional client service. This position supports client account needs, handles cash and financial transactions accurately, develops client relationships, and identifies opportunities to refer clients to additional banking products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily teller transactions in the branch lobby and drive-up locations.
• Provide outstanding client service and maintain strong client relationships by identifying opportunities for additional products and services.
• Process deposits, loan payments, checks, savings withdrawals, night deposits, and mail deposits.
• Sell cashier's checks and redeem savings bonds.
• Respond to client questions and provide assistance in person and over the telephone.
• Process additional financial transactions as needed, including preparing currency transaction reports.
• Identify cross-selling and referral opportunities by understanding client needs, explaining products and services, and directing clients to appropriate bankers.
• Use 360View to document activities, incidents, referrals, and client interactions with other business partners and lines of business.
• Process consumer credit card applications.
• Assist with special client requests, including account closures, check orders, foreign currency exchanges, special statements or copies, referrals, and safe-deposit box procedures.
• Reconcile cash drawers by verifying transactions, counting and packaging currency and coin, submitting excess or damaged currency to the vault custodian, and maintaining appropriate cash supplies.
• Follow bank operations, security, and dual-control procedures.
• Maintain client confidentiality and protect sensitive banking information.
• Attend training sessions to enhance banking knowledge and job-related skills.
• Support team members and contribute to overall client service and branch success.
• Demonstrate knowledge of banking products and proficiency with client-facing systems.
• Complete work accurately while maintaining minimal errors.
• Participate in volunteer activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
• Previous experience in a cash-handling role preferred.
