Job Summary:Mortgage Lending Supervisor

The Mortgage Lending Supervisor is accountable for leading a team of Mortgage Loan Originators to achieve sales objectives and maintain operational efficiency. This position involves talent cultivation, performance oversight, customer relationship management, and compliance with mortgage regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise the routine tasks of a team of Mortgage Loan Originators.
• Acquire the requisite documentation promptly from the correct sources for processing, underwriting, and completion within deadlines.
• Accomplish the annual loan volume origination targets determined by senior leadership.
• Establish and uphold connections with referral sources such as real estate agents, developers, and other external channels to ensure a steady flow of loan applications.
• Participate actively in local and state associations catering to mortgage bankers, real estate agents, and construction industry professionals.
• Keep yourself well-versed in mortgage industry knowledge and existing issues.
• Encourage the development of cooperative partnerships within U.S. Bank Home Mortgage and other sectors to enhance customer interactions and drive the sale of extra products.
• Secure new hires, conduct interviews, and deliver training programs.

Basic Qualifications:

• Earning a high school diploma or a similar certification is a typical educational accomplishment
• Experience in mortgage sales exceeding two years

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Showed competence in developing fresh business prospects and adeptly nurturing client connections
• Comprehensive understanding of sales principles and strategies
• Thorough comprehension of mortgage services, operations, and the ever-evolving market trends
• Awareness of the pricing and underwriting standards set by various mortgage insurance companies is key
• Understanding the underwriting requirements for FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, local bonding programs, and private investors is essential, whether acquired through direct involvement in the field or from past experience within a real estate agency
• Knowledgeable about a variety of legal mandates including zoning ordinances, Truth-in-Lending regulations, RESPA requirements, and energy audit prerequisites
• Skilled in providing high-quality customer service and developing strong client relations
• Emphasizing a meticulous approach and the capacity to analyze financial data with precision
• Skilled in interpersonal, verbal, and written communication techniques
• Employees must be equipped to meet the applicable criteria for performing tasks outside their standard place of business
• Preferred to have a set referral network within the established market
• Concrete evidence of performance in mortgage loan origination over a 2-year period
