The importance of a Commercial Banking Manager lies in the role of:

• Enhancing the prosperity of our customers and the sustainability of their businesses through a combination of financial solutions, educational opportunities, and practical advice.
• Implementing sales strategies by collaborating strategically with commercial lending business partners, private banking professionals, Retail Regional Managers, and Branch Managers.
• Skill in steering the company's strategic direction and devising a plan to drive expansion.

Responsibilities include:

• Attain quarterly and annual objectives by expanding the business in CI, CRE, mortgage lending, SBA loans, treasury solutions, deposit products, investment opportunities, and a range of commercial and consumer services provided through East West Bank.
• Collaborate closely with the Regional Manager and/or Branch Manager to design and implement customer-focused strategic marketing plans aimed at acquiring new business through prospecting, outreach, networking, and referrals.
• Maintain and apply a thorough familiarity with the bank's credit policy, customer eligibility criteria, and all necessary business operations to ensure the submission of precise and complete commercial and consumer loan applications.
• Engage actively in local and regional business events; coordinate and execute specific campaigns and activities.
• Help management in reviewing and updating the current competition policies and practices, as appropriate.
• Educate customers on the convenience of utilizing our digital platforms for banking and investing, empowering them to bank and invest at their preferred time and through their chosen method.
• Additional job roles may be given for completion.

Qualifications include:

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 5+ years in commercial lending and/or private banking with proven sales track record.
• Solid expertise in CI loans, SBA loans, or specialized industry-focused lending is required.
• Individuals with expertise in financial institutions, credit mechanisms, and deposit services, especially in the domain of cross-border transactions involving the U.S. and Greater China, are encouraged to apply.
• Possessing a powerful blend of analytical capabilities and marketing/sales, consulting, and negotiation skills.
• Fluency in both written and verbal forms of communication.
• Manifest high levels of energy, a commitment to producing results, and adeptness at collaborating with team members.
• Showing a significant enthusiasm and competency in impacting, instructing, and establishing connections within the team, partnerships, and customer base in relation to technology.
• Proficient in learning and adapting to evolving information and technology environments.
